Operation Purple Camp Locations Announced
The 22nd season of Operation Purple® Camp is right around the corner, and we’re excited to announce some important details about this year’s program. Camp locations have been finalized, and applications will open soon, so stay tuned! In the meantime, here’s what you need to know:
Camp Locations Announcement
From icy polar plunges in Alaska’s glacial lakes to riding waves during surfing lessons on the Pacific coast, Operation Purple Camp is gearing up for another incredible summer of adventure and connection for military kids. This year, we’ll host nine weeks of camp at eight amazing locations nationwide. Each site offers opportunities unique to that geographic area while also incorporating activities that remain the same across each Operation Purple Camp location. Campers celebrate their shared military life experience and build lasting memories.
- Camp K: Campfire USA – Cooper Landing, AK
- YMCA Camp Surf (2 weeks) – San Diego, CA
- Camp Jackson – Rye, CO
- Eastern 4-H Center – Columbia, NC
- Rockfish – Parkton, NC
- Camp Grady Spruce – Graford, TX
- YMCA Camp Cullen – Trinity, TX
- Jamestown 4-H Center – Williamsburg, VA

Applications Open February 12
Applications for Operation Purple Camp will open on February 12 and close on March 12.

Operation Purple Camp is more than just a week of fun; it’s a transformative experience designed specifically for military kids. This free sleepaway camp gives them a safe space to:

Campers will participate in activities like flag-raising ceremonies, arts and crafts, archery, ropes courses, and team sports. At NMFA, we believe that Military Kids Serve Too® and celebrate that service at camp with our Wall of Honor activity. Additionally, we provide on-site access to Military and Family Life Counselors (MFLCs) for added support.
